Carl M. Jacobson Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Software Development and Consulting

Mr. Jacobson draws on four decades of experience in developing Coal Plant Design Simulator software



    WHEELING, WV, January 8, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ --, Carl M. Jacobson, President of Coal Sim, LLC, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in software development and consulting. In addition to his induction, Mr. Jacobson has also been named Executive, Professional and Entrepreneur of the year in his field by the Worldwide Who's Who Cambridge Selection Committee.

Mr. Jacobson is not only the president of Coal Sim, but also serves as its principal consultant, and is the key architect and developer of Coal Plant Design Simulator software. Owned and copyrighted by Coal Sim, this software is now being developed for worldwide sale and distribution. Coal Plant Design Simulator will use raw coal geological test data from mines to produce complete piping and instrumentation drawings for finished processing plants. The results will include a material list and a complete cost analysis for the production and delivery of the final processed coal. To aid the production of this software, Mr. Jacobson draws on four decades of experience in research and development.

The foundation for this product was originally envisioned by the Coal Mine Task Force in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy and coal mining experts in both the U.S. and India. Efforts to complete this software are underway in West Virginia, but professionals from Pennsylvania and Florida have also been called in to complete the project.

Highly accredited and well-trained in the industry, Mr. Jacobson has served in various roles with ANSYS, Stargate, Inc., Computervision, the U.S. Naval Weapons Center, Naval Sea Systems Command, Puget Sound and Hunters Point Naval Shipyards, and General Dynamics. He has also spoken at numerous conferences before audiences of as many as 750 people. Mr. Jacobson is the author of the CAD-CAM chapter of the "Tool and Manufacturing Engineers Handbook" and automation portions of the "Design for Manufacturing Handbook."

Mr. Jacobson holds a bachelor's degree in structural engineering and has completed advanced studies in the analysis of indeterminate structures. He has taken other courses in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and AC/DC theory, fluids and fluid dynamics, and naval architecture. Furthermore, he is programming proficient in C#, C++, C, ADA, Pascal, Fortran, COBOL, and LISP on Windows and Linux systems, and holds certification in website development and advertising. Coal Sim is his third startup venture.
