Carly Eden Fights For Artists' Rights After Hitting Billboard Charts

"After months of hard work running back and forth between the studios and clubs, it's like a dream come true," says the recent NYU Graduate about her success. "Gone" first garnered attention earlier this year during Carly's stay in Los Angeles for The 58th Annual Grammy Awards, where she distributed thumb drives and business cards to the industry elite in attendance. By mid-spring, the song had been circulated throughout the music community, capturing the attention of dance music moguls Steve Migliore and Gino Caporale yielding remixes by Luv Gunz & Axel Hall, Knappy, Bojan, H3drush, and Jay Santos & Bret Law. The single, with original production by Chris Young and underlying musical influence from Sia, The Weeknd, and Selena Gomez, is currently being played on FM radio, XM Satellite radio, and numerous music streaming portals everywhere. According to Billboard Magazine, "Gone" is now one of the most commonly played songs in American dance clubs.

With the attention Carly has been receiving, she decided to join fellow music creators in addressing legislation affecting the music industry at large. On October 26th, the day of the GRAMMYs In My District (#GIMD) event, Carly protected the rights of music makers. Addressing Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. and Dep. Chief of Staff Assad Akhter, Carly shared in discussing key points of the Fair Play Fair Pay Act advocating for performance royalties and rate parity. "I think it's important as a creator to both make music and engage in conversation with government officials to generate the healthiest and happiest environment for current and future generations," Carly notes.
