Carol Ann Colbert, MSN, CNL, Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Nursing

    PENSACOLA, FL, October 5, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carol Ann Colbert, Adjunct Instructor at Pensacola State College, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing and instruction.

A registered nurse and certified nurse leader, Ms. Colbert has spent 16 years in the health care field, beginning her career as a candy striper. She was a volunteer at 16 years old, and eventually, enrolled in the U.S. Navy. She retired from her military profession as a Chief Petty Officer. Today, she belongs to the Clinical Nurse Leader Association and Sigma Theta Tau International.

Over the years, she has perfected her skills for medical surgery, emergency medicine, obstetrics and pediatrics. For the past year, she has dedicated her expertise in these matters to the Pensacola State College, where she teaches aspiring young nursing students.

Ms. Colbert completed her own education at The University of Alabama in 2011, when she earned a Master of Science in nursing. However, she holds another Master of Science in management as well, which she received through Troy University in 2005. Before attaining a graduate-level education, she attended Jefferson Davis Community College and the University of South Alabama, earning an associate degree and a B.S. in nursing, respectively. Ms. Colbert intends to continue building upon her understanding of the medical field so that she may advance even further. Her next academic pursuit will be for certification in chemotherapy as her ultimate goal is to become a cancer counselor.
