/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Carol Ann Lacher, Clinical Nursing Director for the Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Anne Arundel Medical Center, has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.
With 31 years of professional experience, eight of which have been in her current position, Ms. Lacher is responsible for overseeing administrative duties of the pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, teaching clinical education and facilitating a new NICU nursing transport team with the NICU Medical team for critically-ill premature infants. In addition, she participates in teaching the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Program. Her desire to become a nurse and teach others was the driving force behind her involvement in her profession. She considers working in her past years of nursing in the Pediatric ICU to be the most gratifying aspect of her career for clinical education and pediatric care.
In 2003, Ms. Lacher received the Nursing Excellence Award and attributes her success to her networking, people management, leadership, and listening skills. She received her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Maryland and her certification in leadership. Ms. Lacher is a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She is a supporter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the USA, the United Way and Goodwill Industries International, Inc. and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
