With 37 years of professional experience, Ms. Stanhope specializes in managing patients in critical care. She is responsible for assisting doctors in a long-term care unit, reporting assessments, assisting patients with bad wounds, amputees, dialysis and respiratory issues, and weaning patients off ventilators. Select Medical Hospital ensures high-quality health care and cost-effective outcomes by providing specialty inpatient long-term acute care and rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation services. Ms. Stanhope was inspired by her aunt, a dietitian, to become involved in the field, and she gained experience working in the food service department in a hospital. She attributes her success to her family's support and to her satisfaction in helping her patients.
Ms. Stanhope obtained her Master's Degree in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 1991, her Master of Science and her Bachelor's Degree in Education with a concentration in Home Economics from Concord University in 1972. She is a registered dietitian and a member of the American Dietetic Association, the American Diabetes Association and the National Kidney Foundation. In the future, she intends to work part-time with a more flexible schedule.
