LITTLETON, CO October 14, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Actors Macleish Day, Tom Doyle, Adrian Hart and Don Kraus will join director Trygve Lode and producer Darlene Cypser at MileHiCon, the largest Science-Fiction Literary Convention in the Rocky Mountain Region at the Hyatt Regency - Tech Center, 7800 E. Tufts Avenue, Denver, CO on October 24th at noon.

The Highwayman is a historical action/adventure movie based on Alfred Noyes' well-known poem. The movie centers on a young man in 18th century England named Will Stiles who becomes a highwayman seeking revenge on those who wronged his family and who continues his revenge even after death. The movie began principal photography in Colorado on September 4th with a 3 day shoot at the Colorado Governor's mansion. Later in September a scene was shot with Martin Kove (Karate Kid) as Roan Blackthorn, a blacksmith who refuses to give Will Stiles work, an act which drives Will towards becoming a highwayman.

The presentation at MileHiCon will include a panel with cast and crew members and a sneak preview of scenes from the movie. Scenes shot at the Governor's mansion and footage shot with Martin Kove (Karate Kid) will be shown at MileHicon.

Boulder native Macleish Day stars in The Highwayman as Will Stiles, a young farmer in 18th century England who becomes a highwayman seeking revenge on those who wronged his family and who continues his revenge even after death. Macleish is well-known locally for his work in musical theater. He was featured as Sir Evelyn Oakleigh in sold out shows of Anything Goes and as Slim in Oklahoma! with the Colorado Light Opera during the summer of 2009. His performance as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed at Business Without Really Trying in the summer of 2008 with the Colorado Light Opera was highly praised by the Daily Camera. But Macleish has also been acting in feature films including Spectrauma, Serotonin Rising and ER Experience and short movies such as The Sacrifice and a Date with Socrates.

Tom Doyle plays the innkeeper Jake Hynes in The Highwayman. After a 15 year career in college athletics, Tom had his first film role in The Goal, followed by parts in Juncture, Generosity, Text, ER Experience, and Bum School. Tom's television work includes parts on America's Most Wanted and the HBO show Little Britain USA. He has done commercial work for KUSA-TV9, the Colorado Lottery, Brother's BBQ and does voiceover work for Digital Media Communications in Denver.

Trygve Lode is known to audiences for a number of roles in front of the camera, including as the mad scientist Therion in the martial arts action movie, Dragon and the Hawk, and as the man-turned-monster in the creature-feature, The Shadow Walkers. Long before he placed a foot on a movie set Trygve was entertaining people with his writing. Trygve is making his debut as a director for The Highwayman. Trygve also plays Lt. Cardwell, an infantry lieutenant who is charged with the task of hunting down the highwayman a task which turns out to be more difficult than he bargained for.

Martin Kove was featured on Irish Spring commercials in the early 70s and was featured in Death Race 2000 and White Line Fever. He cropped up in the hit TV series Cagney & Lacey and appeared in Rambo: First Blood Part II. But most people associate him with his role as the villain John Keese in Karate Kid I, II & III. Martin has made over 80 film appearances to date, as well as numerous TV guest roles.

Inferno Film Productions aka Inferno Motion Pictures, produced Dragon and the Hawk nine years ago. Since then Inferno has been primarily focused on sales of motion picture distribution rights, exhibiting at the American Film Market in Santa Monica, California each year and acting as a sales agent for other producers.
