MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, June 14, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Setting the precedent for GDPR preparation, Caunce O'Hara is now offering local businesses professional insurance quotes in order to relieve the strict sanctions that GDPR will enforce.
GDPR is going to change the way in which data is stored and processed forever after May 25th, 2018. This means that business owners will have to take preventative measures. Caunce O'Hara is a local insurance business who have taken it upon themselves to help other businesses prepare for the changes that GDPR will bring.
The Manchester-based firm is creating a helpful GDPR resource to help local businesses be more prepared for the changes that the General Data Protection Regulation is set to enforce on the 25th May.
A recent study quite worryingly revealed that many local businesses won't be ready in time for GDPR, and will then be met with strict sanctions and fines. Around 40% of small business owners fear that they won't be able to meet the deadline, and a huge 70% of business owners have yet to complete their GDPR checklist.
Caunce O'Hara are urging local businesses to take preventative measures in wake of the regulation. These measures include choosing the right insurance policy and investing in bespoke cybersecurity programmes to stop hackers from accessing sensitive information which may be stored.
The new resource aims to simplify the General Data Protection Regulation for new users, as well as providing preparation techniques. Based on the creation of this resource, Caunce O'Hara are set to assign a training strategy in the run-up to the GDPR deadline.
It has recently been revealed that European enforcement officers are underfunded and are currently unprepared, which may work in the favour of many small businesses across the UK and European Union. With a dip in enforcement officers, this could well mean that many small businesses and firms have an extended period of time to become fully compliant with the GDPR deadline.
Caunce O'Hara are one of the many UK firms hoping to help local businesses and business partners avoid the strict sanctions of the new General Data Protection Regulation.
GDPR is going to take effect on the 25th May.
