Celebrating Married Women and Our Nation! US Military to join the 2008 Mrs. New York America Pageant

/24-7PressRelease/ - ROCHESTER, NY, June 29, 2008 - The Mrs. New York America Pageant is pleased to announce this year's theme..."Proud To Be An American" as they celebrate with each branch of our US Military at the 32nd annual Mrs. New York America Pageant.

Shana Jaycox, Mrs. New York America 2007 will greet guests and sign autographs, along with six former Mrs. New York America titleholders. The show is slated for July 1st at the RIT Inn & Conference Center in Henrietta. The show is open to the public. Doors open at 6 PM with the show starting at 7 PM.

As always the Mrs. New York America Pageant will feature a host of local talent - including the Johnny Matt Band, local teen talent, the Mrs. New York America dancers and Mrs. New York Americas past and present.

The Mrs. New York America Pageant will mark the end of the reign of Shana Jaycox, Mrs. New York America 2007, 36, of Norwich. Jaycox became the 31st married woman to earn the title of Mrs. New York America last June. This year contestants from five generations - ranging in age from 23 to 67 - will vie for the title of Mrs. New York America 2008. The winner will represent New York State in the 2008 Mrs. America Pageant in Tucson, Arizona this September and continue her reign representing our state's married women and the platform of her choice.

The Mrs. America Pageant system is the very first of its kind in the country that recognizes and celebrates our nation's greatest resource - married women. Show tickets are: In Advance: Adults $30/ general seating and $40/ reserved seating, Children 12 & under $20/ general seating and $30/ reserved seating. At the Door: Adults :$40 and Children 12 & under: $30. Tickets are available now through the pageant website at http://www.mrsnewyorkamerica.com or at the door.
