/24-7PressRelease/ -- Your Healthy Living Show is returning to Edinburgh this summer to help consumers eat well, feel great and look healthier, naturally - without costing the earth.
This year the show will feature top international dance sensation and instructor for the BBC Sport Relief celebrity video Deanne Berry. The choreographer and star of the Eric Prydz' video 'Call On Me', will join TV personality and qualified nutritionist, Amanda Hamilton, best known for presenting BBC 2's Sunday lifestyle show Something for the Weekend and Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses.
Following the success of the first Scottish show last year, the fun, interactive and great-value two-day event will demonstrate that eating healthily and living naturally can be inexpensive and easy with the help of celebrity and local experts.
Deanne Berry will be inviting visitors to join her in the brand new Active Zone for free taster exercise sessions. During the two sessions each day (12.15pm and 3.15pm) Deanne will be teaching her world famous 'Call on Me' dance routine and giving away prizes for the best dancers.
The fitness star has worked with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Cliff Richard, GMTV's Mr Motivator and now Your Healthy Living Show, where guests will have the opportunity to dance alongside the music video legend. Most recently Deanne taught the nation, along with a host of celebrities, her best known routine in aid of Sport Relief. Amanda Hamilton will be leading a series of Free Expert Talks throughout the weekend. As well as her TV work Amanda is also the author of best-selling health and weight loss books, developed her own skincare range and studied Ayurvedic medicine and Yoga in the Himalayas. Amanda will be offering advice on subjects close to her heart such as natural skincare, healthy effective weight loss and family health.
Showcasing simply the best great food, including locally sourced, raw, organic and Fairtrade food and drink producers, the hugely popular Famers' Market will return bigger than ever. Visitors will have the chance to sample, taste and take home a wide range of produce such as Summer Harvest Oils, Coconoil and The Chocolate Tree. Free wine tastings, guided by the UK's first organic wine merchants, Vinceremos, will give visitors the chance to enjoy a selection of wines, while learning about the benefits of drinking organic. Celebrity chef and lifestyle TV presenter, Paul De Costa-Greaves will host live cooking demos throughout both days, preparing simple, good-value and healthy meal options.
Recognising that general fitness is a key part in promoting a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle, this year's show is launching the brand new Active Zone. Joining Deanne throughout the weekend will be experienced tutors and specialists from the Edinburgh area and beyond, a full programme of free sessions will give visitors the chance to try out simple Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi moves and sign up to regular classes available right on their doorstep.
An extensive Complementary Therapy Centre will offer a range of treatments to experience at special reduced rates, all carried out by award-winning therapists from Scotland's leading herbalist, Napiers. The Natural Beauty Zone features pioneers in the field, such as Live Native from Isle of Skye, offering tips on how to look after skin and hair organically, and giving free advice on natural cosmetics and make-up.
Local Edinburgh health heroes Real Foods, Napier's and Hannover Health will also be returning to offer free and practical advice, while expert exhibitors will be on hand to offer a range of services such as allergy testing and spinal checks, alongside free diet and nutrition advice.
Back by popular demand is Jan de Vries, renowned author and therapist at the forefront of complementary medicine, who will be joining Amanda for the series of free expert talks. Jan will be joined by local experts, celebrities and leading specialists such as Dr Marilyn Glenville, the UK's foremost nutritionist specialising in women's health and Medical Herbalist Dee Atkinson of Napiers.
Discounts, special offers, free samples and competitions will all be running throughout the show and all visitors will receive a free reusable natural cotton bag on arrival.
Tickets are FREE when booked in advance before Friday 30 April 2010 or great value at just GBP5 on the door, concessions GBP3 and under 16's are FREE when accompanied by a paying adult.
