In this role, Abhinav will manage a team of over 300 Engineers and MBAs with operations that span across seven countries. He also forms part of Spice's Corporate telecom team and will lead strategic investments including mergers and acquisition effort.
Prior to Cellebrum, Abhinav has led the Indian operations of Lotus Interworks, a technology incubator in the telecom convergence space. He has also worked with C-DOT for more than 8 years, where he lead the development efforts of IN CS-1 and GSM Products which were deployed in close to 200 Indian cities. He also led the improvement of software development processes which resulted in significant improvement in productivity
The products and technologies that he has worked on have included value-added services for enterpirses and end customers, web services, embedded systems development (media gateway & signaling gateway) for IMS, Conferencing, SS7 Platforms and applications, XML, Middle Ware platform development etc.
Abhinav has been a member of several national committees set up by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for the introduction of IN Services, GSM and VoIP in India. He is a regular speaker at conferences and educational institutes. He is on the board of several startups providing them strategic guidance to aid in their growth.
Abhinav has a PhD from IIT Delhi, and an MBA from IIM Lucknow majoring in Management of Technology and Innovation.
