Center for Oral Health in Huntington Beach Offers Soft Tissue Laser Treatments

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, June 11, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Center for Oral Health in Huntington Beach is now offering soft tissue laser treatments. Dental laser treatments can be used to address periodontal infections, treat periodontal disease, remove overgrown gum tissue or to perform deep periodontal cleanings. Huntington Beach dentist, Dr. Rassouli, can use laser therapy in addition to or instead of conventional therapies.

Lasers offer a variety of benefits for patients, including:

• A reduced need for sutures
• A reduced need for anesthesia
• Minimal bleeding
• A lowered risk of bacterial infections
• Minimal risk to surrounding tissues
• Faster healing and promotion of tissue regeneration

Keeping gums healthy is essential to maintaining dental health. Gum tissue surrounds, protects and supports the teeth. Over time, gums can become irritated by bacteria or damaged by aggressive dental habits, leading to gum recession. Gum recession can become more common with age and leads to exposed roots and other problems. Pinhole surgery is used to cover roots and restore a healthy gum line. Also known as PST, this technique eliminates the need for scalpels, grafts and sutures. Instead, the healthy tissue is gently loosened and expanded to cover the roots. Recovery is faster and simpler than with conventional gum grafting methods.

After any soft tissue procedure, patients will need to follow careful dental instructions to ensure proper healing. Proper dental hygiene, regular dental checkups and periodic cleanings are all important to promote periodontal health and healing.

Dr. Rassouli offers complete dental care including general dentistry, one visit crowns, emergency dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, dental sedation and treatments for TMJ and sleep apnea.
