/24-7PressRelease/ -- The Central Florida Vacation Rental Managers Association (CFVRMA) will hold its annual conference and tradeshow at SeaWorld 's Ports of Call on Thursday, November 13, 2008. The conference, which is sponsored by SeaWorld (www.seaworldorlando.com) and FlipKey.com (www.flipkey.com), will bring together vacation rental management companies in the Central Florida area to celebrate a successful 2008 and provide learning opportunities through educational sessions.
More than 200 attendees from vacation rental management companies are expected to attend, along with more than 100 participants from the sold-out tradeshow, which will feature 45 booths comprised of exhibitors that service the vacation rental industry.
Orlando CVB President and CEO Gary Sain will open the conference and address attendees with insights on Orlando tourism for 2009. Additionally, in the opening session, the CFVRMA will present a check to Ronald McDonald House, a result of ongoing fundraising contributed throughout 2008 by the CFVRMA members and guests.
Keynote speakers include adventurer Jim Davidson, who will share his stories about perseverance and how to use his principles during tough business or personal times. The CFVRMA also welcomes back Trent Blizzard, one of the nation's top experts on Internet marketing who regularly addresses and serves clients in the vacation home industry.
SeaWorld will also present the new and exciting plans for their Worlds of Discovery parks in 2009, including their most innovative roller coaster to date: Manta!, which will debut at SeaWorld next Summer. FlipKey will present on the positive impact of honest and reliable online guest reviews, how important reviews are to consumers making vacation rental decisions, and using guest reviews as a critical asset in the effective marketing of vacation rentals. In August 2008, TripAdvisor took a majority stake in FlipKey to be able to present reviews for vacation rentals to their more than 24 million consumers a month.
The Central Florida Vacation Rental Managers Association was founded in 1997 to unite Central Florida vacation home management companies as a professional body, and to work together to promote the vacation rental industry, support compliance and serve and protect the interests of property owners and guests. Vacation rental managers are held to a code of ethics and membership must be approved by a majority of the board of directors. Members attend monthly meetings, which include educational training, networking opportunities and updates relevant to the vacation rental industry.
