As CEO and Managing Director of Mountain Industries Pty. Ltd. for the past 12 years, Thomas has consistently performed at an exceptional level.

Mountain Industries is a transport and logistics company offering a wide variety of services. They transport, store and manage bulk products such as minerals, grain, fertilizer and carbonaceous product at their site or the site of their client. They have the ability to dispatch and receive product by road, rail or sea. Mountain Industries can also ensure that grain is cleaned, dried, tested, graded and containerized at their regional intermodal depots and dispatched by road or rail.

The company has a range of heavy haulage vehicles to suit customer transport requirements, including dangerous and hazardous goods. They can pallet or bulk-pack containers and transport them by road or rail. They also have the capability to ship containers overseas from their intermodal terminals. Mountain Industries operates four weighbridges, three of which are public weighbridges with two providing 24 hour access using the Autoway card system.

Thomas is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Transport & Logistics and a Board Member of the Australian Trucking Association. Almond enjoys skiing and sailing in his leisure time.
