IDC research indicates that by 2012 over 80% of new software vendors are targeting SaaS (Software as a Service) as a solution, and, that over 60% of new offerings from established vendors will be sold as SaaS. Gartner research indicates that SaaS has been such a success for companies that the renewal rate for services will be at 95% in 2010.
