ChannelApe Opens Central Office In Downtown Scranton

    SCRANTON, PA, September 09, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Multi-channel platform ChannelApe has moved their central office to downtown Scranton. The tech start-up was founded last year by area natives Mike Averto and Jason DiPietroPaolo and, until recently, had operated out of the Tek-Ridge center in Jessup, PA. As of the first week of September, the business will be housed at 224 Wyoming Avenue, Suite 100.

ChannelApe has developed a retail platform that helps online sellers grow their businesses through inventory automation and multichannel sales. This platform allows clients to upload several types of data feeds including XML and CSV, expand inventory through drop shippers/suppliers and open up new sales channels like Shopify, Amazon and Walmart. The company has a diverse client base and a customer-focused philosophy. Channel Ape boasts relationships with suppliers and sellers including Amazon, Shopify, Europa Sports, SugarLips, OPSH, HeelBoy, D&H, Emerson Ecologics, Honest Green, Acusport, Creation Watches and more. Channel Ape can automate the distribution of tracking numbers from all of these suppliers out to Shopify buyers.

The addition of ChannelApe to the area is a welcome one. The company now shares the block of Wyoming with the likes of Congressman Matt Cartwright, farm-to-table restaurant Terra Preta and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The office currently employs ten people and plans to hire more before the year's end.

When asked about the move to Scranton, Channel Ape CSO Jason DePietropaolo stated, "The downtown area has been going through a resurgence for a few years now - and we wanted to be part of that. There are great restaurants, great bars and coffeeshops and, of course, great businesses. We wanted to be one of those businesses."

While the young Northeastern PA upstart can accommodate sellers around the world - they're already integrated with stores in Ireland and Canada - they hope to create a local base of clients in their area. According to CEO Mike Averto, "We know there are a lot of online retailers In Scranton, Wilkes Barre and the surrounding areas. We'd love to connect with these people and band together as a sort of retail community."
