Chantal Raiche, MBA, Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Human Resources

    LAVAL, QUEBEC, CANADA, July 20, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chantal Raiche, Manager of Human Resources for the Jevco Insurance Company, was recently named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Raiche embarked on her career in human resources while working in the insurance industry. Her communication skills, strategic views of business and a background in psychology and management would serve well in human resources. With 12 years of experience in the HR field, she is currently the manager of human resources for Jevco Insurance Company, a property and casualty insurance company that provides surety and nonstandard risks. In this position, she is responsible for the review and drafting of policies and contracts, providing counsel on the application of labour laws, reporting on negotiations and employee settlements, while focusing on process and structure reviews. Ms. Raiche has the ability to bring individuals together from all walks of life and educate them on how to manage people to the best of their ability. She is creative, thinks outside of the box, and conducts research to see how others around the world approach human resources. Drawing upon all of her skills, she continually strives to create the best work environment possible for her employees. The highlight of her career was stepping out of her comfort zone when she completed the McGill-HEC executive MBA. This was the cornerstone of a new learning and experience, as it enabled her to grasp a globalized view of business across industries and HR practice, while creating a better understanding of the nuances of competitive advantage for corporations with respect to emerging HR practices.

Prior to her involvement in the human resources industry, Ms. Raiche worked in the property and casualty insurance industry for more than a decade. In addition, she worked in the translation industry for a short period of time. Bilingual in French and English, Ms. Raiche enjoys learning about different cultures and has had the opportunity to travel to France, Argentina, India and the Caribbean. She is also a strong advocate of mental health care organizations and is looking to take part in an organization that provides help and consultations to people struggling with divorce, depression and other anxiety-causing issues. She attributes her success to her capacity for detail, passion for people and her work and her ability to respond to the big picture while demonstrating strategy through simplicity. She also devotes time to mentoring and sharing her knowledge with colleagues.

Ms. Raiche received an Executive MBA from McGill-HEC Montreal in 2010. In addition to her formal education, she is a chartered insurance professional and is a member of the Montreal Association of Insurance Women and the Association des MBA du Quebec. In the near future, Ms. Raiche hopes to attain a vice president position in human resources. She also plans to pursue travel opportunities, learn more about human resources in other countries and write a book. In her free time, she enjoys scuba-diving, oil painting and gardening perennials.
