"It was a long battle, actually took it's toll over the course of 17 years," Joe mentions. "My father had both up and down moments throughout the ordeal but raising awareness to the need for funding was always a topic he was ready to discuss. He did all he could to raise funds for charity. Before he passed, we planned the website and I've launched it in 2011 in his honor."
