/24-7PressRelease/ - Tallahassee, FL, July 26, 2008, Charles D. Williams, Medical Doctor of Radiology Associates of Tallahassee, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of radiology.
With more than 42 years of professional experience, Dr. Williams excels in pediatric radiology, and breast and diagnostic imaging. He previously worked as an instructor at a college and has written various articles. He has received numerous awards including the Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Radiology, the Distinguished Leadership Award and the Twenty-First Century Achievement Award from the American Biographical Institute, the Physician's Recognition Award from the American Medical Association and a Gold Medal from the Florida Radiology Society. Dr. Williams considers being the first radiologist from Florida to serve as a national officer at the American College of Radiology to be his greatest professional accomplishment, and he attributes his success to his hard work, discipline and his professional drive.
Dr. Williams completed his fellowship in pediatric radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine in 1974, his residency in general practice at The Medical Center of Central Georgia in 1968 and his residency in radiology at Baylor College of Medicine in 1973. He earned his MD from the Medical College of Georgia and his Bachelor's Degree in Radiology from Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Williams has held various executive positions at the American College of Radiology, and is affiliated with The American Board of Radiology, the American Medical Association, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American Society of Emergency Radiology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Radiological Society, The Society for Pediatric Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Williams stays current with the trends in his profession by attending seminars and reading industry-related publications. He hopes to publish his book 'More Simpler Times' and continue writing in the future.
