Charles E. Gutke Jr. Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Automotive Services

Charles Gutke Jr. is an expert in Cobra and Shelby automobiles



    KENNESAW, GA, September 5, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles E. Gutke Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of Cobra Restorers, Ltd., was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

As the CEO of Cobra Restorers, an automotive restoration business that restores original Cobras and builds replica Cobras, Mr. Gutke is responsible for managing sales, billing, operations, and providing customer service. He believes he is successful due to his background in production planning, sales promotion and marketing. In addition, he has served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years with duties as a Helicopter Crew Chief. He also was a certified police officer in the state of Missouri.

Mr. Gutke received a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Education with a major in graphic arts from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL. He is affiliated with Gamma Omega Chapter, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. At the University, he was a member of the UM Ski Team and served as President in 1964. He achieved Expert Ratings in Slalom, Jumping and Trick Skiing in competition water skiing as well as a officiating events. He also holds the Eagle Rank in the Boy Scouts of America. In the 50s, he formed the Cam Cutters hot rod club in Wheaton, IL. In the 70s, he was a charter member of the Shelby American Auto Club and served as the Regional Rep Coordinator for the U.S. Also at this time, he organized the Shelby Cobra Owners Association - Southeast, and planned open track events and seasonal meets at SAAC Georgia, GA. He was also a charter member of the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) and Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) and vintage raced at Sebring, Daytona, Mid-Ohio, Atlanta International Speedway, Road Atlanta, Road America and Laguna Seca, racing 289 Cobras and GT350 Mustangs.

Aside from his work at Cobra Restorers, he is certified as a licensed commercial aircraft and helicopter pilot, working as a pilot with Angel Flight of Georgia. His hobbies include model building, model railroading and photography. Looking ahead, Mr. Gutke desires continued professional growth through consulting and mentoring. His favorite charities include Toys for Tots, the Red Cross and The Salvation Army.
