With more than 41 years of professional experience, Dr. Fischer specialized in obstetrics, gynecology, and cosmetic surgery. He was responsible for treating patients, networking with doctors, and managing outpatient surgicenters. In the course of his career, he had also worked as the chief at St. Mary's Hospital. He became involved in his profession because of his desire to help people, and attributes the success and longevity that he enjoyed to the support he received from his father and wife, Kandice.

Dr. Fischer earned his MD from Tulane University in 1961 and his Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts from Washington University in St. Louis in 1957. He has lectured on patient microsurgical tubalplasty before the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Although officially retired, Dr. Fischer stays current with the trends in his profession by attending seminars, reading industry-related publications, and enrolling in continuing education courses. He is currently working on his website and aspires to venture into consulting in the future.
