Dean Jay Conison to Serve on Association's Board of Governors
CHARLOTTE, NC, June 26, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dean Jay Conison has been elected a vice president of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA), effective June 22. In this role he serves on the association's Board of Governors.

"I'm honored to hold this position with the North Carolina Bar Association. It provides an opportunity to serve the legal profession and the system of justice in the State of North Carolina, and it complements my work to lead change at Charlotte School of Law," said Conison.

The appointment comes shortly after Dean Conison completed his service as reporter for the American Bar Association Task Force for the Future of Legal Education. The Task Force Report, issued in February, identified directions of change in legal education and provided guidance for managing that change to participants in and those concerned with legal education.

About Jay Conison:
Conison earned his bachelor's degree from Yale College and both his master's and J.D. from the University of Minnesota. Before joining the Charlotte School of Law, he was dean of the Valparaiso University Law School, and before that dean and associate dean at Oklahoma City University School of Law. He has served in national leadership positions in legal education, including chairing the Accreditation Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education.
