Check Point has launched Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution
Check Point has launched a new network-based Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution, helping business move data loss from detection to prevention.

    CARDIFF, WALES, April 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Check Point has announced its new network-based Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution, which according to the company will help business move data loss from detection to prevention. With its UserCheck technology, it will be more focused on educating users to remediate potential violations in real-time. In addition, the multi-data correlation engine MultiSpect delivers high accuracy in identifying data breaches by detecting over 600 file formats and including over 250 predefined content data types.

Check Point DLP attaches importance to user education with UserCheck as its prime capability. When data risk is detected, the user can be alerted with a pop-up window or an email and prompted to quickly remediate incidents before a data breach can occur.

"Data loss prevention is a universal business challenge. At some point, we have all sent an e-mail with sensitive to the wrong recipient. For the first time in the industry, Check Point solves the challenge of data leakage," said Gil Shwed, chairman, founder and chief executive officer at Check Point. "By combining innovative technology with our UserCheck remediation solution, Check Point DLP enables business to enforce corporate policies and educate users while preventing intentional and unintentional data loss."

Its new technology MultiSpect, a multi-data classification engine is responsible for inspecting traffic flow for all data-in-motion and providing high accuracy in correlating users, data types and processes.

Check Point DLP software can be easily implemented from a user friendly interface and thus can be easily understood for users about what types of data at risk.

According to Etienne Greeff, professional service director at MIS CDS, an independent security consultancy firm, Check Point DLP removes the security complexities associated with data loss prevention while lots of solutions in the market are extremely complicated and difficult to implement.
