Jeu d'ètè, for Spring/ Summer 2005. The name of her collection, a French phrase which means “playful summer”, perfectly describes Cheena Chandra’s inspiration for the newest colors and designs. With a deep love for the South of France, Cheena, was inspired to present jewelry with bright and vivid colors that are reminiscent of the sunsets, Mediterranean beach and French panache, during the spring and summertime months in the this romantic region.
Shades of blues, greens and pinks flood this recent collection along with fresh eye-catching styles that are whimsical and lightweight in design. Using 18K and 22K gold, Cheena Chandra, made her mark in the jewelry world with her breathtaking chandelier and waterfall bejeweled earrings that soon became signature pieces ever present in her collections. For Spring/ Summer 2005, Cheena brings us Flower Chandelier earrings designed with 18K gold paired with apatite, an ocean blue colored semi-precious stone. Another stone that is prominent for this collection is diopside, a vivid green stone. In addition to the Flower Chandelier, Cheena Chandra’s collection offers many other earring styles in 18K gold, 22K gold and sterling silver, including cluster, waterfall, gold mesh, pea pod, full circle earrings, and chandelier.
New for Spring/ Summer 2005 collection is the stunning Cocktail ring offered in Smokey Brown Topaz and Blue Topaz. Each ring is an oval shaped 9 Carat Stone set on wide brushed 18K gold band. Lariats and Flying Pendants necklaces will be available in pink calcidney, emerald greens and tourmaline. Gorgeously colored freshwater pearls are still very present in the line in waterfall earrings and lariats. We are sure to have a Jeu d'ètè adorned with the baubles from Cheena Chandra.
