FORT WORTH, TX, October 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chef Point Cafe, one of the most respected Fort Worth fine dining restaurants, is holding a competition in search of a new theme song for their restaurant and website.

If you are a musician looking for a start or a break this could be your lucky day. The Chef Point Cafe contest is for you. First prize is $100, your song played on http://www.chefpointcafe.org, and featured in a press release. This is the perfect opportunity for start-up musicians who want to build their resume.

Aspiring musicians know how hard it is to build a resume; the best way to do so is by entering contests. Contestants will have the opportunity to write the actual theme song for a prestigious restaurant that will be heard and voted on by fans and customers. Few amateur musicians can claim that one of their songs won a competition for a theme song for a restaurant. Any experienced musician will tell you that their careers started because they were able to get their music into the public as well as their name, and that is the biggest prize of all.

"Some of our loyal fans had shown me videos of restaurant theme songs on You Tube. That got me to thinking that we need a catchy, creative song that fits the uniqueness of our Ft. Worth restaurant. I didn't want to go the usual way of hiring musicians to write the song. Instead I thought a contest would be the best way to hear a variety of different types of music," says Paula Nwaeze, co-owner of Chef Point Cafe.

The rules are simple; you have to make sure that all material is original and copyright free. That means you have to create every aspect of the song, music, lyrics, video, etc. The video needs to be between 30 seconds and two minutes long, nothing longer or shorter than that. You can post the video on www.youtube.com and then email us the link at info@chefpointcafe.org. All entries must be received by November 19th, midnight C.S.T.

A distinguished panel of judges will determine the top three videos of the submitted entries. The fans will select the winner by voting for their favorite song.

Paula encourages individuals, garage bands, school bands even college bands to enter. "I'm looking forward seeing the videos of all the entries and then letting our fans select the winner," added Paula.

Chef Point customer and college band student Brandon Lyman is excited about the prize money. "$100 is a lot of money to a college student and I can think of many ways to spend it," says Brandon.

Chef Point Cafe is known as a great chicken restaurant. The Fort Worth restaurant located inside a gas station also serves great steaks and weekly specials. If you are looking for a family friendly restaurant that serves delicious food at affordable prices then stop by for lunch or dinner. White tablecloth dining without the tablecloth. Located at 5901 Watauga Rd., Watauga, TX.
