Cambridge Who's Who
- Lanham, MD, July 9, 2008, Chika Nmezi, Pharmacist for CVS Pharmacy, Inc., has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of pharmaceutical services.
With 20 years of experience as a pharmacist, Ms. Nmezi has been in her current position at CVS Pharmacy, Inc. for nine years. On a daily basis, she is responsible for updating drug information, counseling patients, filling prescriptions and interacting with technicians. Prior to joining CVS Pharmacy, Inc., Ms. Nmezi worked for the District of Columbia Department of Health for 10 years.
According to Ms. Nmezi, the most important issue facing the pharmacy industry is the aging population and the increasing number of people who are taking medications. She hopes to one day obtain her doctorate in pharmacy so she can better serve her customers and continue to help them improve their health. Her greatest accomplishment, she believes, is playing a role in improving the quality of life of her customers. Ms. Nmezi keeps current with the trends in her profession by attending seminars and reading professional publications.
Ms. Nmezi received her Master's Degree in Public Health Administration from South Eastern University and her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Howard University. The recipient of a Certificate of Achievement for Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, she attributes her success to her desire to help people and her enjoyment of her field.
