/24-7PressRelease/ - SANTIAGO, CHILE, July 25, 2008 - The only Chilean wine to be recognized with a medal, PengWine was awarded two Bronze Medals at the Indiana State Fair Indy International Wine Competition. Wines from 15 countries were judged on appearance, aroma, and taste by 15 panels of judges at the 17th annual wine competition. Among 3,200 wines, two PengWine wines were selected as medal winners.

• The soon to be released 2005 Humboldt Cabernet Sauvignon blend received a Bronze in the Cabernet Sauvignon Class.
• The recently released 2006 Fairy Rose was awarded a Bronze Medal in the Ros Class.

Bob Stanbary, Partner and PengWine US Operations Manager submitted the wines, "I knew our new Humboldt and Fairy releases could get some attention and we're glad that it was recognized by the world-class judges at this event."

PengWine Founder Chris Milliken said, "I was delighted to hear that two of our wines were selected among such prestigious competition. I knew they could stand up to the others any day, but to have judges in a blind tasting identify the Humboldt and Fairy as top picks is really exciting."

This is the second time the Chilean wine producer, PengWine, has entered the nation's largest wine competition which began accepting wines from around the world in 1992. The event is coordinated each year by the Indiana Wine Grape Council at Purdue University with 75 judges.

The award-winning Fairy Ros can be purchased online at http://www.pengwine.com and can be tasted at the Woodinville, WA tasting room on Saturdays through the summer.
