China Opens Up Further for Foreign Banks
Enormous opportunities are offered for foreign investors in China banking sector, with China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) announcing, in Dec 2005, increase in cities where foreign banks will be allowed to do business denominated in Yuan.

CBRC has also announced easing of fund requirements for overseas investors.

Cities of Ningbo and Shantou shall soon open their doors for foreign banks that offer Yuan business to both Chinese as well as foreign companies and individuals.
