This represents largest month on month growth since July in same year, as per the news published on Sina.com - the largest portal of China - on 20 December 2006.
Above 36 million people are covered under the CDMA network of China Unicom. Company's GSM subscriptions also rose by 930,000 and reached nearly 105 million, thereby bringing the total subscribers of the company to around 141 million in November 2006, as per the website.
China Unicom -second largest mobile operator of the country next only to China Mobile - increased its operating profits to US$ 1.59 Billion in the H1 of 2006. The CDMA network of the company promotes itself by claiming larger capacity with higher communication quality and low radiation.
