/24-7PressRelease/ - ST. LOUIS, MO, May 13, 2006 — Tom Bazow, a St. Louis author of Christian-themed, children's books, releases his first in a series of books with a challenge: everyone can make a difference in this world, regardless of age. The first installment of Bazow's Quest for God's Hidden Creatures series is subtitled, The Legacy of the Doors. In the book, main character Troy Finnegan discovers the choices and actions he makes have far-reaching results - both positive and negative. Author Tom Bazow agrees.
"Each of us has an opportunity to make an impact during our time here on earth, no matter how large or small," stated Bazow. "Kids today need to know that they are significant and the choices they make do matter, to themselves as well as others. When they make the right choices they can have a profound, positive impact on others."
Bazow's philosophy extends beyond the fiction story and into his personal commitment to donate 50% of proceeds from book sales to Christian organizations that help sell the book. "People have suggested it's crazy to donate such a high percent, but I believe in the biblical principle of tithing (giving 10% of earnings back to God) and to offerings (giving more than 10%). As I strive to reach kids for God's kingdom, other faith-based organizations will have increased resources to support their ministries."
Targeted to children ages seven to eleven, Bazow's book has already captivated the minds of a classroom of fourth graders from Life Christian School who previewed the story last year, before publication.
"What makes the story compelling," Bazow explains "are the exploits of its 10-year old main character, Troy Finnegan and the mysterious, fantasy creature 'Zeke' that becomes Troy's guide through God's hidden world. Children love the mystery and adventure of the story, at the same time they receive real-life lessons in making choices and learning about a loving God."
The book features original illustrations by Bazow's wife, Warrine Bazow and is organized in 7 easy-to-read chapters. The book retails for $9.95 and can be purchased online at http://www.inhistimepublishing.com
