Christina Rubino Captures Aural Elements of Americana with Release of Album "Godspeed And Guns"

Singer-songwriter infuses rockabilly and punk-influenced ballads to deliver fearless and candid album release just in time for spring.

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 22, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christina Rubino releases brand new album "Godspeed and Guns," showcasing her superb strumming and vocal abilities, evoking elements of blues, country, and the ultimate in singer-songwriter charm from someone who has lived through loss.

Now available on iTunes and other online music retailers, "Godspeed and Guns" is enjoying widespread acclaim from many. The music that reviewers have cited as "musically beautiful" and "impeccable storytelling" will surely steal it's own place in any listener's heart. Tracks like "Down to the Sea at Daybreak" offer buckets of palm-muted licks that are reminiscent of the way in which the Foo Fighters deliver their heavily-layered dose, but also possess the raw punk spirit of the Damn Mondays and War on Women.

"Christina Rubino can be likened to a female Johnny Cash with her folksy Americana rockabilly that moves and shakes you to the core," writes EatSleepBreatheMusic.com.

Christina's style of music will undeniably have a wide-reaching appeal to the heavily tattooed individual who is leaning forward tuning up a hotrod, on down to the newly single city dweller who is fueled by angst over her last bad breakup. "Orbit" is a track off of "Godspeed and Guns" that really allows the listener to see Christina's storyteller side, and she has the up close and personal performance-with-piano aura of Jeff Buckley and Greg Dulli of "Afghan Whigs" clout.

About Christina Rubino

Acclaimed indie artist Christina Rubino brings a new feel to a classic genre. She began writing songs at the age of 17 and quickly realized her passion for music, performing the dual roles of vocalist and rhythm guitarist. In 2008, Rubino joined the all-female group Violator, a NYC based Depeche Mode cover band, as the lead guitarist. In 2009 she transitioned to all-female trio Josephine, before going on to write and record her debut solo record, Alive From The Scrap Heap, in 2014. In 2016 she released Godspeed & Guns, which is lush with addictive progressions, soulful vocals, and an alternative edge. The record boasts the aesthetic of indie rock anthems. Though the songs are diverse from one another, there is a glue that holds it all together, much like a concept album would. Most importantly, the record never loses sight of the emotional platform great songs are built from. Christina has received rave feedback and reviews from the likes of The Nashville Music Guide, Indie Artist Alliance, Pop Dose Magazine, The Examiner, and more.
