Christyann Mayhew Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional & Entrepreneurial Registry

With 11 years of experience as a psychological consultant, Ms. Mayhew is responsible for treating mentally-challenged patients diagnosed with low intelligence, preparing behavior plans for patients, monitoring patients, individual counseling and attending meetings. An independent contractor, Ms. Mayhew specializes in psychiatric and psychological consulting services.

Prior to her psychology career, Ms. Mayhew spent one year with the Texas Highway Patrol, three years coaching volleyball and track at Southwest Texas State University, one year coaching volleyball and track at Baylor University and three years coaching volleyball and serving as the Intramural Director at St. Edwards University. An aspiring writer, she plans on continuing her psychology work until she can cultivate another career writing novels, and considers her greatest professional achievement to be seeing her clients make progress. Ms. Mayhew stays current with the trends in her profession by continuing her education and spending time with fellow professionals such as doctors and psychologists. In her opinion, the most important issue facing her industry is the lack of funding for mental healthcare.

Ms. Mayhew received her Master's Degree in Psychology from Southwest Texas State University in 1988, her Master's Degree in Physical Education from Baylor University in 1977 and her Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from the University of Texas, Arlington in 1976. She attributes her success to her hard work and became involved in her profession after attending a summer course in psychology.
