With over 35 years of professional excellence in his field, Dr. Chae currently serves as the chief executive officer of Mirae Energy-Code Research Institute, where he has worked since 2013. At the start of his career, he joined the Korea Gas Safety Corporation as the member of the department for safety codes in 1982. Subsequently, he served with the Corporation's board of directors for safety. Additionally, he has lent his expertise to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy as a committee member for the gas technology standards committee, as well as an energy safety expert.
A graduate of Kwangwoon University and Yeungnam University, Dr. Chae holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Master of Science in Engineering, and a PhD. In order to remain active and engaged among his professional circles, he affiliates himself with the Korean Institute of Gas, where he has worked as vice president since 2012, and the Korean Institute of Hazardous Materials, where he has served in the same position since 2016. During the course of his career thus far, he has introduced the Korea Gas Safety Code through the High Pressure Gas Safety Management Act of Korea, as well as the One-Call System of Excavation Work through the Urban Gas Business Act of Korea.
Notably, Dr. Chae has been noted many times for his work in the field, especially as he was recognized by the Order of the Republic of Korea in 2004. In the coming years, Dr. Chae intends to experience the upward trajectory of his career.
