Churches Can Successfully Face the Changing Times and Thrive, Advises Global Author and Change Consultant

Pennsylvania multicultural congregation turns to "The Six P's of Change" author Pat Rocchi for strategies to deal with unemployment, downturns in organized religion and other challenges of the times.

NORTH WALES, PA, May 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As religious leaders face difficult times, including competition for much-needed contributions and the attention of their congregants, one church found help from consultant, author and speaker Pat Rocchi, author of "The Six P's of Change."

Rocchi spoke to the leadership of Bethlehem Baptist Church, a multicultural congregation located outside of Philadelphia, Pa., at the invitation of Pastor Charles Quann. Rocchi outlined many of the challenges such places of worship face: According to the Pew Forum for Religion & Public Life (November 2008), fewer Americans that identify themselves as part of an organized religion or as Christians, while an increasing number are leaving their so-called "cradle faiths," i.e., the faiths they were born into through their families.

Rocchi advised the leaders that, once they recognize that such changes are inevitable, they have many new tools at their disposal to counter such changes, including the social media to reach new and prospective members. Rocchi also told the audience that they could anticipate change and beat if they spot trends through the information available through many media. He also reminded them of another towering religious figure who brought change through innovative technology: Martin Luther, who made the Bible available to common people through the then-new craft of printing.

Pastor Quann had said that he brought Rocchi to his church to "challenge them, and make them think."

"The Six P's of Change" has received praise for both its practical advice and its down-to-earth style. Author Rocchi offers these steps in dealing with and conquering change:
- Develop the Perception that change is a reality.
- Gain the Perspective that change is often neither all positive nor all negative.
- Learn the art of Prognostication to predict the future with reasonable success.
- Practice Proactive Preparation for situations you can foresee and even those that seem invisible.
- Develop Planning -- a step-by-step strategy to meet your defined goals.
- Implement Performance of your plan, executing all of it superbly.

Rocchi's book has received positive reviews on Amazon.com, where it is offered for sale. It is also available as an e-book through Inkstone Digital, and as a computer-based training program through Leadership Clicks, a provider of e-learning modules.
