/24-7PressRelease/ -- Certified Public Accountants Mark Carey and Denise Kopyar have joined Citrin Cooperman, an accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Philadelphia, as directors in the firm's Audit & Accounting Group.

Carey has worked with middle market and growth companies for more than 25 years. His combination of public accounting and private company experience lends itself to understanding and responding to the challenges that his client executives face. Carey also possesses many years of experience in complex financial reporting, equity financing and acquisition due diligence and integration.
Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Carey managed the finance departments of two venture-backed companies that were sold in strategic sales. He was previously a senior manager at a Big Four accounting firm where he worked with public, venture-backed and private technology companies. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and a graduate of Penn State University.
Kopyar has more than 16 years of audit experience. She works with clients in a variety of industries including real estate, hospitality, manufacturing and distribution. Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Kopyar was an audit manager at McGladrey & Pullen and served as a manager at Simonson, Lipschutz & Fogel.
Kopyar holds a BS from the State University of New York at Binghamton and an MBA from Drexel University. She is also a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
