/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Claire Pera, Director of Member Services for Pelican's Nest Golf Club, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in customer service.
Ms. Pera has amassed more than 17 years of professional experience, and she strives for excellence in her every endeavor as the Director of Member Services for a prominent southwest Florida private, member-owned and operated golf club. Specializing in communications, sales and marketing allows Ms. Pera to knowledgeably oversee member services, which include the website and social media marketing initiatives. She is also in charge of facilitating communications from the board of governors' president, for creating reports, and attending board meetings. Ms. Pera delivers reports on a monthly basis, integrates new members into the club, serves on the membership marketing committee and bylaw committee, and currently sits on the board of directors as treasurer of the Membership Directors Association of Southwest Florida - a position she has maintained for the past six years. Prior to serving as the Director of Member Services, Ms. Pera was the Director of Communications at Pelican's Nest Golf Club. She has also been a member of the medical staff under an opthalmology practice, a neurosurgery practice as well as an Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Pera worked for five years at a local golf club as a receptionist, in accounts receivable and handled clubhouse decorations for holiday flowers and golf events. Prior to that, she was in the medical field for 15 years beginning as a unit coordinator for intensive care, cardiac care and cardiac surgery at Akron General Medical Center then continuing her education by working with surgeons at three local hospitals.
She attributes her success to having a wonderful team to work with. She loves working with people, has a strong drive and a steadfast work ethic. She became involved in the golf and club marketing business at Imperial Golf Club in 1995. She started her career in the industry there and was eventually recruited to Pelican's Nest Golf Club. When the club industry took a turn for the worse, Pelican's Nest Golf Club remained strong, held its course and never lost the vision of the private, member-owned and operated club integrity. She is proud to say that she was part of the team that held fast, maintaining the company's vision, beliefs and mission to their members and to their dedicated staff.
Ms. Pera graduated from the University of Akron in Ohio, and she continued her education at Akron General Medical Center, St. Thomas Hospital, and the Children's Hospital in Ohio. She is also an affiliate of the Membership Directors Association of Southwest Florida and the Professional Club Marketing Association. Looking ahead, Ms. Pera intends to continue to flourish in her current capacity.
