CAMARILLO, CA, September 28, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clarissa Dong, Chief Executive Officer of Shanghai International Film Exchange, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of operations management.
A native of China, Dr. Dong came to the United States in 1960 and began her career in teaching English at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She produced a documentary film in China named "Mao Mao's Litigation" that portrays the life of a young Chinese woman, and decided to create awareness and capture the attention of viewers worldwide. Overcoming certain barriers, she brought her film to the U.S. and produced it for the Public Broadcasting Service. Dr. Dong feels proud to mention that it was the first time that the Chinese government has accredited a Chinese documentary film to be produced and released worldwide. She has more than 10 years of professional experience and is responsible for overseeing operations and producing documentary films at Shanghai International Film Exchange.
Dr. Dong received her Ph.D. in Psychological Anthropology from the University of California Los Angeles in 1994. She is affiliated with the International Documentary Association and the Chinese Historical Society of Southern California and is an active supporter of the World Vision.
