JACKSONVILLE, FL, February 02, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The first task was to paint several, nine foot long, metal poles with a compound called "flex-a-rock," which gave the surface a textured look. It was a unique experience, where CFM worked alongside Exhibit Technician, Lance Jacobson, who helped demonstrate the technique needed to achieve the desired "tree bark" effect. Once completed, the poles will be used to support a tent which will house the new exhibit, called "Butterfly Hollow."

The "eclectic" and "whimsical" look of the exhibit will feature handcrafted artwork pieces created by the Exhibit Technicians. Bob Chabot, the Director of Horticulture at the Jacksonville Zoo said, "We want to feature artwork that is made from recycled goods, which is a technique called 'up-cycling,' so we can send an ecological message to reuse materials."

The sculpting process was truly an exciting experience, as CFM was able to unleash their imagination by creating "faces" on uniquely shaped tree branches that will be incorporated into the design of the exhibit. Working with such an amazing group of people, and helping to lay the ground work of the exhibit, is a very rewarding experience. The smiles that this attraction will bring to so many faces are priceless, and as a company, CFM strives to give to those who do so much for our community. This exhibit, which opens March 9th, will be an experience that the whole family will want to enjoy.
