/24-7PressRelease/ - SEATTLE, WA, September 06, 2008 - It was announced today by representatives of Clothing Company SpA and Chadwick McQueen and the Terry McQueen Testamentary Trust, that the parties had reached a settlement of all disputes among them concerning use of the likeness and name "Steve McQueen." The terms of this resolution are confidential.
The settlement reached between the parties resolves all disputes between them worldwide.
Clothing Company SpA is a business entity engaged in the manufacture and sale of high-quality clothing products under the legendary Belstaff label. Belstaff-branded clothing has been sold since 1924. Clothing Company is also the owner of a Trailmaster Racing Jacket made by Belstaff in the 1960s, worn and owned by Steve McQueen, which was purchased at auction from Barbara Minty McQueen.
Steve McQueen, of course, is a legendary actor and icon. One of the most recognized and idolized actors in film history, the "King of Cool" was the highest-paid movie star of his era, before his untimely death in 1980. Chadwick McQueen and the Terry McQueen Testamentary Trust are the sole and exclusive legal beneficial owners of the worldwide rights in Steve McQueen's name, personality, publicity, privacy, and all trademark rights in Steve McQueen.
