    /24-7PressRelease/ - SAN PEDRO, CA, August 10, 2006 - California based Coastal Vacations Director Dean Marino fielded complaints from those who started ill-fated home based businesses with renegade Coastal Vacations sponsors. Marino was hosting a live Q&A conference call for the largest, fastest growing and most successful group in the Coastal program. Learn more about the ultra-successful Coastal Vacations Sales Center at www.coastalpassiveincome.com .

Marino explained that his Coastal Vacations group provides maximum support to members and that sponsors who are not part of his group simply cannot come close to the support they offer. He explained that support is crucial to the success of a new Coastal Vacations business because most who start a new home based business have never owned a successful business before and don't know how to do it.

Marino explained; "Some new members just don't do the research. I find it hard to believe because I was so skeptical when I found Coastal Vacations that I researched it for over 6 weeks. I was on all the conference calls and then some. Many who fall for the scams think Coastal Vacations is Coastal Vacations. They think it's all the same;

"In reality, there are lots of Coastal Vacations sponsors and several different groups to plug into. The person you join with and the group you plug into will often determine your chances for success. Those who think it's all the same often join with someone who offers a $200 discount or a free I-Pod, and unfortunately they begin their path to failure."

Here are the top 5 complaints voiced to Marino by those who, unfortunately, made the wrong choice when they reached the fork in the road and consequently doomed their Coastal Vacations business to failure. The top level 3 director offers his valuable advice to those who take the time to check it out.

(1) My Coastal Vacations sponsor talked me into this, and now he doesn't even return my calls.

Marino poses some great questions to ask to avoid joining with the wrong Coastal Vacations sponsor.

Did he answer the phone before you joined, or did he always call you? It's important that you do your homework to determine if your sponsor is in this for the long hall.

Did you hear your sponsor participate on conference calls with a major group before you joined?

Does your sponsor attend the biannual worldwide Coastal Vacations meetings or does he avoid them?

Did you ask if he works outside the home. Does he sell everything from cosmetics to health products and other programs or is Coastal Vacations his career and he is committed to it?

(2) My sponsor made everything sound so easy. He said he just works 2 or 3 hours a day and makes tons of money. Now that I've started, it looks like a full time job to do everything I need to do to produce sales. Was I sold a pie in the sky?

Before getting started with Coastal Vacations, you have to take a logical look at all the sales pitches you are being force fed. Your sponsor told you he is successful and has been working the Coastal business for several years.

Think about it. Several years means at least one hundred to several hundred members calling to do 3-way calls. If he trains his group, that takes time too. Doing his own training calls or simply answering questions from all those group members takes time.

How about ordering the Coastal Vacations product? You can't order from the shipping center on line. That means a trip to the bank for cashiers checks and then a trip to Fed-Ex. How did he get you? Were you a training sale or does he set aside time for marketing or calling prospects?

Use your head. Even if your sponsor is just selling 3 or 4 memberships a week, ordering them, training them, doing 3-way calls with them, participating on conference calls, and generating more new customers--- how does that add up to 2 or 3 hours a day?

(3) My sponsor said I didn't need to be a salesperson to have success with his Coastal Vacations business. Now that I am talking to customers and they are not buying, he says I need to learn techniques for selling and ask the customer to buy. Isn't that being a salesperson?

When you are being followed up with, notice what the process is. You were sold the Coastal Vacations product and business. Perhaps you were offered an enticement to buy now. Perhaps you were told there was some special goodie set aside just for you, but they were almost gone. Perhaps you were offered a discount for acting now.

Whatever the process was, you were sold and at some point you will need to learn to do the same thing. Very few people are going to come to you begging you to let them buy. You will need to ask for the sale and ask for the money and yes, in my book that qualifies you as a salesperson.

Look at the training provided by the Board of Director's calls and other traditional groups. They are teaching sales. Look at the speakers contracted to speak at the Orlando seminar. The research is simple. Look up the names of the speakers. Do a Google search and go to their websites. Bingo. The products they sell are teaching selling techniques. What does that tell you?

(4) My sponsor works a closed system. I don't think this is the way Coastal Vacations is supposed to be. He did not go to the Coastal conference and discouraged the rest of his group from participating. I think he wants me to get all my information from him only so he can control me.

This is not good. With a closed system, that means you will need to do things your sponsor's way or take the highway. Your only chance here is if your demeanor, temperament, selling posture and personality are exactly like that of your Coastal Vacations sponsor, because you will need to do it exactly his way. You will have no other role model to follow.

With the larger successful groups, you will be exposed to different marketing and selling styles because the large groups have several successful leaders that get to the same finish line by taking a little different route.

The groups will expose you to a variety of marketing strategies, scripts, and techniques. The diversity makes the group stronger and lack of diversity makes the closed system become stagnant because of the lack of new ideas.

(5) I signed up with my Coastal Vacations sponsor and now every training call is a sales pitch to sell me something else. Do I really need Gold Calling, his co-op leads, and the website he sells?

Legitimate Coastal Vacations sponsors that are out to really help you will offer options that don't involve another payday for them. Legitimate Coastal Vacations sponsors will allow you to learn from a group and that group will offer a variety of ways you can achieve success with your business. Tools can be useful, but many offered by sponsors are overpriced and not needed.

According to Marino, research, performing due diligence, and a logical thought process are the friends of the home based business seeker. Marino feels some may get so caught up in the dream that they just don't want to see the flaws that are so evident to the naked eye.

Marino explained that support is the key to success and his group experiences much more success because they get maximum support.

Simplicity, support and a quality high demand product are what makes the hybrid Coastal Vacations business so successful. Learn more about it at www.coastalpassiveincome.com ;
