/24-7PressRelease/ - KANSAS CITY, MO, August 06, 2008 - Thousands of college students are getting ready to return to their universities of choice this fall. The only question is how they'll get their stuff back into their dorms, apartments and other rented "pads." Portable storage has the solution.

"Part of the stress of returning to school " and going back home " each year is how to make the move. Who wants to pack, load the truck, make the long drive, and the repeat the process on the other end?" asked John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director of the National Portable Storage Association, or NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry. "The portable storage industry takes a lot of the stress out of the equation by letting students leisurely load a container and have it delivered where they need it to go without another thought."

College students could hire a traditional moving company, but in a tight economy that could more than break the budget. Again, they could rent a moving truck and do it themselves, but that opens them up to liability. The best choice for college students who have so much "stuff" to take home that it won't fit in the trunk of their car is portable storage. Portable storage is inexpensive, convenient and offers students more time to get that "stuff" loaded and unloaded.

"Moving is one of the most stressful events in life, even if it's only temporary. Yet college students not only deal with the stress of education, family and peer pressure, they also face the stress of multiple moves throughout their college career," said NPSA Operations Manager Joel Rathbone. "Portable storage can ease some of that stress with containers of various sizes that make moving a lot simpler " even for students who just crammed all night to pass finals."
