Comedian and Writer Returns to Toronto Hometown to Launch Her New Book, "OMG: How Children See God"

Comedian and writer Monica Parker offers a poignant, moving and often hilarious view of God as seen through the eyes of children

"God is a grownup. And he absolutely loves people. He doesn't like people that fight. Neither does Santa or Jesus!" - Liam, age 5

TORONTO, ON, October 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What if you could have a pleasant, stress-free conversation about God without involving politics or even necessarily religion? That is the gift of Monica Parker's new book, "OMG: How Children See God" (October 13, 2015 release).

"OMG" offers a thoughtful, moving and often humorous look into the ways that children understand God. Think a modern-day "Kids Say the Darndest Things," but with a spiritual bend.

Monica grew up in Toronto and selected the city for her book launch, which will be at the Indigo bookstore (the Bay & Bloor location at 55 Bloor Street West) on October 15, 2015 at 7:00 PM EDT.

Children, parents and grandparents are all invited to the event, which promises to put a smile on everyone's face.

Monica Parker is known for her writing work on "An Evening at the Improv" as well as for co-writing the hit film, "All Dogs Go to Heaven." She has recently turned heads with her one-woman show, "Sex, Pies and a Few White Lies" and has seen high praise and critical acclaim with her last book, "Getting Waisted: A Survival Guide to Being Fat in a Society That Loves Thin."
