Comedy Site Decasp.com Plays David to MAD Magazine's Goliath

New comedy website offers humor without all the political and social commentary.

CHICAGO, IL, September 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Many of us grew up on MAD Magazine. But as Decasp Editor Kenny B explains on the Not MAD Magazine site (http://madmagazine-alternative.weebly.com), MAD just seems stale these days. And its constant barrage of political and social commentary just seems ho-hum. Reality already is a sideshow. We don't need another sideshow to the sideshow.

That's where Decasp.com comes in. It seeks to return to pure, albeit absurd, humor without the political or social commentary. It features cartoons, real fake ads, limericks (yes poetry), flash fiction pieces it calls "Fritternalia", character sketches, and even interviews by Chelveston the Comedy Penguin.

Kenny B, whose feature stories touting Decasp have appeared on the British Comedy Guide and The Interrobang says, "There's nothing wrong with social and political commentary using humor. Heck I still buy MAD's print magazine. It's just that sometimes we need a respite from all the controversy and conflict."

Decasp (yes, the name makes no sense) takes a shotgun approach - if you don't like one thing, there are five more waiting to make you laugh. So take a look for yourself, and whatever you do, ignore the gorilla.
