ATLANTA, GA, May 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nestled in the city limits of Atlanta sits a community-run nonprofit organization committed to uniting artists and community to inspire positive social change.

Founded in 2004 in response to Atlanta's need for an organization that unites artists and community advocacy, WonderRoot has captured the attention of the music industry with their state of the art recording studio. Designated for member use only, the studio has become the center piece for young members 14 to 18 years of age who seek to become the next big music star. On any given Tuesday, the young members of Wonder Root show up excitedly to the studio to create and record music. As their only access to a functional studio of its magnitude, the young future music stars dedicate their time perfecting their skills hoping for the opportunity to get noticed by someone in the music industry. Well that opportunity has arrived.

Since the first visit to WonderRoot in December 09, Atlanta's own 215 Entertainment made it a priority on their must do list to volunteer their services to the young members who utilize the WonderRoot recording studio. It was apparent to the company upon their first visit that a music workshop and mentor program had to be implemented to help guide and nurture the career paths of these young future stars. With the idea brewing within the company, the next thing to do was present the idea to WonderRoot.

Now with the idea fully developed, a scheduled meeting was held at WonderRoot one Saturday to discuss the overall idea conceived by the company. An hour later the idea to incorporate a music workshop and mentoring program was gladly accepted.

Five months later, 215 Entertainment, in association with WonderRoot, will introduce the Music 101 workshop and "Pass the Torch" mentor program to its young members starting the first week of June, along with Project Generation D. The workshop which is scheduled every Tuesday and Friday during the months of June and July will cover key roles and definitions in the music business such as "What's a producer?", "What are royalties?" and "What does a publisher do". "Pass the Torch" mentoring program will also serve as an introduction into the music business by incorporating a curriculum that will cover receiving correspondence with well established artists, producers, executives and engineering personnel. The company hopes that the interaction of both programs will be a key factor in assisting WonderRoot and their mission.
