What's unique about CrimeWeb.Net is that it uses a patented zip code technology to allow a subscribing agency to distribute alerts anywhere in the country. Alerts can be sent to citizen subscribers in specific zip codes, up to 99 miles around a specific zip code or to all registered users located geographically between two zip codes.
Arlington PD and 24 other police departments in DFW use the CrimeWeb system to distribute alerts regarding public safety related. They issue a variety of alerts from murders offering rewards, to safety belt enforcement programs.
