More than 50 guests, including Boca Raton Mayor Susan Whelchel and other city officials, joined the building's developer in cutting the ribbon. Next at the podium was Mayor of Boca Raton Susan Whelchel, who said, "The City had the wisdom to understand what One Thousand Ocean would bring to it and recognizes that this condominium is one of the most prestigious projects in South Florida. We are proud to be a part of this, and are thrilled with the end result."
The Mayor also pointed out that, because of the prestige of the condominium and the neighboring Beach Club, the beauty and strengths of Boca Raton are being given a tremendous boost.
