Connie Rose Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Religious Services

Connie Rose helps those in need around the world through her outreach and missionary work

TORONTO, CANADA, December 18, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Connie Rose, Global Missionary Worker for the African Methodist Episcopal Church, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in religious services.

After retiring early in her career, Ms. Rose devoted her time to assisting others through her outreach and missionary work for the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The church was founded by black people and for black people, in a time when slavery was the norm in the United States. Throughout the years the church's outreach has grown and its ministers and members have participated in life-changing historical movements, including the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 60s.

As a global missionary worker, Ms. Rose serves as the area chairperson for the AME Church, completes global responsibilities that include nine churches, teaches new missionaries, serves as class leader and works in outreach and prison ministry. The most gratifying aspect of her career is that she enjoys traveling all over the world, meeting and helping sick, hungry and poor people globally. She has worked in Canada, the United States of America, South Africa, Lesotho and Chennai, India.

Ms. Rose's faithful and humble nature, along with her compassion and integrity, is what separates her from others in her line of work as she has selflessly given her time, energy and service to those in need.

She is a certified licensed practical nurse and was recognized as an International Honoree by The Women's Missionary Society. She also received the Award Recognizing Member's International Mission Work by President Obama, is a board member of the Women's Inter-Church Council of Toronto, and is charitably involved with The World Day Committee, The Red Door Family Shelter, Rosalie Hall, A Young Parent Resource Centre, and Touchstone Youth Centre.

She attributes her success to her great mentors, Senior Bishop John and Rev. Dr. Cecelia Williams Bryant of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and their vision, including a Worldwide Mission. In five years, Ms. Rose will be a global ambassador for AME and raising millions for projects throughout the nation.
