("CHT"), a leader in Consumer Directed Healthcare and Health Banking software for administrators, payers and financial institutions, announced the expansion of its executive team with the addition of Jerry Stanger as VP of Business Development, Government Sector. In this new role, Mr. Stanger will be responsible for extending the delivery of CHT's healthcare technology solutions to local, state and federal government agencies.
Mr. Stanger has over 20 years of experience in Medicaid sector with responsibilities that included executive management, contract compliance, system implementations and operations. His previous positions include being the Executive Director of the Fiscal Agent and Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) procurement project for California Medicaid. Notable achievements include improved transparency and business rules, simplified adoption & implementation of health information exchange/health information technology and electronic health records.
Mr. Stanger was appointed by the California Government on the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Executive team responsible for oversight and management of two large MMIS fiscal agent contracts for Medicaid claims processing and provider payments administering in excess of $20 billion a year. Furthermore, Mr. Stanger procured and managed major contracts for the Medicaid Information System (MIS)/Decision Support System (DSS) and Health Care Options for handling the enrollment of beneficiaries into managed care plans, Third Party Liability recovery contracts, and the Medicaid provider enrollment/services function.
Prior to joining DHCS, Mr. Stanger represented KPMG in the Government Grants and Contracts Advisory Services practice group.
