Coolsmiles Orthodontists Dr. Leon Klempner and Dr. David Amram hosted a barbecue picnic and softball game for their patients and families undergoing orthodontic treatment at their two locations in Medford, NY and Port Jefferson, NY. The picnic was held at Hoyt Farm in Commack, NY.
Guests enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, watermelon, cookies, brownies, and even cakes decorated with the Coolsmiles logo. The softball game featured a number of great plays by the kids and also some impressive plays by the dads. Of course, Leon displayed some of his skills as well.
Dr. Klempner enjoys the picnic not only as a chance to show his thanks, but also as an opportunity to spend time with his patients:
"Dr. David and I like to do this every year as a way of saying 'Thank you' to our patients. It's great to spend time with our patients, to hear them laughing, and to see them showing off their beautiful smiles."
Dr. David took a group of kids on a nature walk and introduced them to some of the animals in the area. He made sure to stop by the grocery store before the picnic to buy a bag of carrots for his animal friends to enjoy. Temporary tattoos and finger painting were also featured at the picnic. All in all, a good time was had by both patients and family members of all ages.
Dr. Amram was thrilled to see so many patients and their families at the picnic:
"I really am excited that this year's picnic was so well-attended; to see so many smiling faces on a beautiful day with the sun shining certainly makes me love my job that much more. I look forward to this event every year."
The
Coolsmiles team gave away an iPod shuffle to one of the lucky guests. Julianne Martin and her brother, Peter, won the iPod together (and agreed to share it). A perfect gesture to the end of a perfect day!
