Courtney V. Pollock Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

    BILOXI, MS, October 1, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Courtney V. Pollock, Algebra Teacher for the Long Beach School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of mathematics education.

With eight years of professional experience as an educator, Ms. Pollock is responsible for teaching algebra to ninth through 12th grade students. She became involved in her profession because of her interest in mathematics and attributes her success to her disciplined nature and work ethic. In addition to her duties as a math teacher, she also coaches varsity and JV volleyball, the freshman boys basketball team, the middle school boys basketball team and the girls varsity track team.

Ms. Pollock is the recipient of the Pass State Test Award in Algebra I from Long Beach High School, the National Youth Leadership Award from Bates Middle School and Sumter High School, two Highest End of Course Test Scores Awards in Algebra I and the Student Body Teacher of the Year Award from Bates Middle School. She was also nominated for the Walt Disney Teacher of the Year Award.

Currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Secondary Education at William Carey University, Ms. Pollock received her Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Accounting from Erskine College in 2000. She is a member of the National Education Association and the National Scholars Honor Society and aspires to become an administrator in the future.
