Covente, LLC To Supply Alternative Energy Sources To Eastern Europe and Turkey
Most Recent Russian-Ukraine Gas Dispute Last January Speeds Need in Region

DETROIT, MI, May 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Covente, LLC in Michigan has announced it will provide alternative energy sources to Eastern Europe and Turkey after the most recent gas dispute between Russia and the Ukraine that left millions in the region without power for nearly two weeks during a brutal winter.

The company will distribute solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for commercial and residential use from its client suppliers in Canada, China, and the USA for the nations most affected by the crisis last January. Other offerings are to include thin film-based solar modules for reduced cost and adaptability over PV modules, and wind power generators.

"While Poland was hit the hardest by the gas dispute, other nations such as Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Turkey were also noticeably affected", said Dr. Bryan Christiansen, Covente's president. "Some other Eastern European nations such as the Baltic States and Finland obtain 100% of their gas supplies from Moscow. Clearly a need exists to replace the current situation before next winter hits," continued Dr. Christiansen. A business professor at New York Institute of Technology and Ellis University, Christiansen marketed international finance software based on US GAAP standards to foreign oil & gas firms operating throughout the Former Soviet Union during the late 1990s.

Although there are plans to develop alternative gas pipelines in nations surrounding the Ukraine, which transports 80% of Russian gas supplies to the European Union, Covente's Board of Directors understands this process will take much money and time. "Therefore, we need to act quickly, as there is a recurring history in the region on this issue", added Dr. Christiansen.

As part of its "green energy" efforts, Covente is currently in negotiations with several textile manufacturers in Bursa, Turkey to convert their plants into producers of wind power generators. Additionally, Covente is considering the distribution of Atmospheric Water Generation Systems throughout Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
